You have arrived at the web site for Troop 64, Grand River (GR) District, Greater Western Reserve Council (GWRC), Boy Scouts of America (BSA) located in Concord Township, Ohio and celebrating our 83rd year this year, 2011, as a place where young men of all backgrounds come to learn valuable leadership and life skills while having loads of fun and adventure!

Camping at Manatoc to go Tubing. One of the best camp outs.

Kondike Campout (January 2011)
Camping at Stig to compete for points to use at the auction.  The troop will completed different activities to earn their points.  The troop got two water containers, a firestarter kit, first aid kit, and more.  Sure it is cold but it was fun.

Annual Weblos Readyman & White Elephant Gift Exchange Campout (December 4th, 2010)
The scouts teach the first aid skills to Weblos which is needed to earn their Readyman Activity Pin.  In the evening we had a White Elephant gift exchange and the famous "game night". 

Campout (November 2010)
Camping at Manatoc to do some good dutch oven cooking.  Crab Bisque for the adult leaders!

Webelos Woods (October 15-17th, 2010)
Webelos are welcome to join the troop as they camp with us and find out about Boy Scouts.  The Dens visit different areas to learn about archery, BB guns, first aid, fire making, and many other scouting activities. 

Put-in-Bay Campout (September 2010)
Camp out at Put-in-Bay with the island's scout troop.  Lots of fun.

Lake County Fair Fundraiser (August 2010)
It is hard work but actually kind of fun.  Many boys earn enough Scout Bucks to pay for Summer Camp.

YMCA Family Camp Night (August 2010)
The scouts help with the campfire program.

Summer Camp (July 2010)
First year scouts that attend Summer Camp are more likely to continue with scouting.  This year we return to Camp Manatoc to enjoy the good food and earn lots of merit badges.

Built Fire Extinguisher stands for use at the Church Festival.
Erected Troop shelters for the St. Anthony Picnic

CPR Training (May 2010)
Annual CPR training for the adults and scouts conducted at the Willoughby fire station. 

 

Flower Sale (May 2010)
One of the three fund raisers the boys use to pay for Summer Camp and other outings.  Many boys are able to pay for all their scouting activities by working the fund raisers.  This year the weather was bad but we ate well and still managed to have fun.

Scout Expo 2010 (Apr-May 2010)
Celebrated the 100th anniversary of scouting in the USA at the Geauga Fairgrounds.  Our booth was a huge success as the boys showed off the skills they learned while working on their Metalworking Merit Badge.  Visitors to the booth pounded iron heated by one of our two forges to make rings.
     

Expo Planning Campout (March 2010)
The boys spent the weekend planning the booth for the ExpoX.  Also found some free time to play a little frisbee in the nice weather.

Court of Honor (March 2010)
Celebrated two scouts earning their Eagle rank along with the other boys earning an assortment of rank advancements and merit badges.  See the News-Herald article on "8 Eagle Scouts soar from one family tree"

 

Kondike (Jan 2010)
We stayed at Pioneer Village at Camp Stig this year.  It was cold, it was fun, and the patrol did a great job in the competitions.  Especially the first aid event, where their teamwork shined.
